I have most of the old ones on CD (blue shift, opposing force) and most of the rest aren't worth playing (Ricochet, DM, TFC (not to knock TFC but it's just brutal now)).

the valve complete pack is such a good deal for people just getting into valve's games.  the ID pack is an even better one though.

Right now i am using a friends account to play Counter-Strike Source in a few days i plan on buying my own copy of it.  I saw it in the store for $30 i dont really think i can afford to blow $80 so i can play one game out of them all i think im getting screwed doing this though cause $50 for like 8 extra games is really cheap...not sure which ill go with any recommendations?

Probably the Orange Box... lots of games, and $50. Can't beat that.

Yeah, unless you're really hardcore about playing the rest of those games, why blow 50$ on them?

You're better off just going out to get CS:S, I got it for either 20 or 30$ at Wal-Mart I forget now.

Actually, to clear things up for everyone, you can buy Counter-Strike: Source alone for 19.99, last time I checked.

I bought one for a friend from Target and it was 19.99.  Also, if you have access to a debit card or credit card, you can purchase it directly through steam for 19.95. :)

You can actually get a debit card, and a credit card if you wanted, parents just have to sign with it.. or something, I forget.

You just need a bank account for a debit card, which she can get. Credit Cards are a little different.

This is gunna piss yall off.

So about 2, 3 years ago my dad bought a copy of Counter-Strike (pre 1.6, from way back in the AT&T days) and gave it to me, it still has one of those yard sale red stickers on it that says "$3."

Anyway, so he got home, handed it to me and I was like "What is it" and he says "Its by Valve, and I know how you love Half-Life." so I poped it in, installed, and found out that I couldn't play becuse when I searched for matches, it would say "Needs an update" then try to update and it couldn't find the patch server or something.

Anyway, so about a month ago, I tried installing it again, however this time when I poped in the disc, Steam came up and says "Steam has detected a Valve Classic Game in your CD-Drive "Cs12install" would you like steam to activate this product?" And im like... does this mean I can actually play it threw Steam? So I get out the ol' cd-key and punch it in... suddenly, Steam tells me the most amazing thing I have ever been told by a computer program since "Windows 95 is now installed!"

Guess what motha-fuckas, I got the Valve Complete Pack, the one thats 80 bucks in Steam, for 3 dollers.

Do something bout it.
