I know this idea has come up in the past, just wanted to see what people think of the idea of having brand spankin new unspoiled opposite-of-cali's-butthole statistics?

I vote no, because the points system is set up in such a way that it is harder to stay in a higher position as you go on. It becomes easier for the lower players to gain more points from killing the higher players thus pulling them down faster and lifting yourself up faster as well.

There are many people who only play for a little bit and not play.

I understand that it does take 100kills for a player to start receiving more then 2points but its a
pain in the arse to maintain a 2+ kdr and yet still be down points since I lose -12 per every death.

Actually they only need 50 to be ranked, which is completely ridiculous in my eyes. Most people don't even play in the AM hours because every single person is a -12 person. So it takes 10 hours to gain 300 points, and 2 hours to lose it. It's kind of annoying....

Maybe if you all didn't truly actually suck with your stupid p90's then it wouldn't be a problem, because you wouldn't be dieing and losing points

Anyway, voted no, stats shouldn't be reset because they are at a point right now where everything is nice.

Care too much about the stats? If we didnt care about it then it be worthless having the stats in the first place.

The stats are there to keep people more competitive and its nice to know when I type rank/session that im actually
gaining points instead of being -60 even if i have a good score.

Some may care about that KDR they have but I dont give a crap about that nor do I care about my rank. I just like seeing + points and not minus points

You do realize that without HLStats, or a form of stat keeping, 50%+ wouldn't even bother playing?
I don't care about stats, but I like to do good. And usually... they go hand in hand. Except when you're playing with a bunch of scrubs who can EASILY get 50 kills and become ranked.

You'd have to maintain almost a 5:1 KD to not LOSE points. Earlier today I had 80+ kills and a 3.75KD and was +17 points. There is something wrong with that.

And yeah, "you should play to have fun"... I'm sorry, but it's not fun to type session and see your score falling drastically. Like I said before, it takes 8 hours to be +300 points, and it only takes an hour to end up -300. If anything, the amount of kills you need before you can become ranked needs to be raised back to 100, or even higher.

meh. I do. Don't really care what points I lose. I even have my rank hidden. To each his own I guess.

It's easier for me to sit and practice aiming as well as actually "rushing" on T when I don't worry about points. I could easily flip it and say the reason t's do so bad on a consistent basis is because too many people on the server don't want to rush because they are afraid of getting killed by the -12 guys.

Sure, stats are fun. Love to see how I'm doing against someone or if my weapon aim is improving, but it can also be a game killer.

If the points were trimmed then it'd be less competative and easier to stay on top. It shouldn't be easy. It should be a challenge, otherwise what's the point?

In the end, as Sarc mentioned the only thing the current stats are going to do is make the T's not rush.
Well at least the better players will not rush and sit back til the last 1min or less when everyone is hurt so its easier to kill.

There has been so many times where i rushed and got baited by my own team or just simply lefted there while everyone sits back.

I hate to see it but the only way i can get points sometime is camping

isen't there a way to set up a monthly points system so you can see who did the best for the month, and still keep the one for all time.... it would make the reset people happy and the people who don't want it reset

No it wouldn't. People would just complain that they see two different stats on the server or they'd complain about being only able to see one instead of the other.
