If you are at the top pretty much a 1.5kpd will keep you even. So Stats are where they are perfect. A reset will cause people to leave and leave stats in an akward state for a few months where play time = higher rank.

Yea, any major change seems to kill the servers.

On this topic, I don't think that the office server is properly linked to stats...it doesn't seem to be updating when I am on it.

Also, Forsaken, office hasn't been linked to HLStats for a month or so.

i would say yes because i gain ranks all the time and hardly loose them...a month ago i was 300 and now im 250. that just tells me that i should be ranked about 150 and not move up or down any....but i think no because 250 outs 10,000+ looks good

Maybe that has to do with the fact I get up at 3:45 AM and have nothing to do till 3 PM? Don't worry, when I start playing less you're going to miss me.

I'm home but I still haven't played yet.

I got home at 2PM yesterday and didn't play ANY CSS. It's a record, but today I know i'll put in a few hours.

It all depends whoes on the server.

If i can manage to get some play time when 80% + of our regulars play then 1.5+ kpd will give me some points.
On the other hand, if 70% + of the players are new players and by the time i die 3-4 times im already down -40pts .

The stats say there are 65,000 + players registered but how many do you think still play?

D2 players will not go anywhere simply because the stats reset

But what's the point? To make things easier? They are just going to be back to you guys losing lots of points from new players. Its there so that you can compete, not have an easy ride to a big e-penis.

The stats were screwed to start with. Combining the Office and D2 stats was the wrong idea to begin with.

No matter how much you play on D2 it was helpless and yet anybody who played on office ranked up like nothing.

The only thing im asking is let D2 just have its own CLEAN slate to start with

I just think you should link office stats back up, because it did make it easier for people to rank up, which makse people to continue to come back. Its really gay though that the office server has an average of 0 people for the past 2 weeks

For what? The stats are formulated on purpose to work themselves out like this. That's another benefit to the win/lose points vs. opponents. How would it change anything? It wouldn't. The same people would rise to the same spots, except you'd be losing less points for a time.

I see where everyone is coming from, because i too am stuck at rank 70 - 74, but thats fine because i suck.. I think we should just consider raising the number of kills to be ranked much higher, say like 500 to 1k

Regarldless of the formula, having Office linked, would end with the same story. The difference is that the players in Office do not have an advantage in points, even if they are playing in D2 now. The points system keeps things balanced out right now. That's the point.

Explain to me how you, right now have a disavantage over anyone in the points standing. I'll tell you that you can say new players, but everyone has that same disadvantage the higher they are regardless, even if you reset them. I could see a point if you wanted to change the stats formula like everyone else where you don't lose points.

I just think it's ridiculous that someone only needs 50 kills to ruin everyone elses standing. I don't think someone who has played on the server for 2 hours should be able to screw others over.

Especially if it's someone who is actually REALLY good, but doesn't play on our server.

Either way, I still think stats should be reset, even with my new account and not being high ranked.
