this argument is kind of dumb... everyone is going to argue what they like the best USUALLY based off of personal experience. Personally I own a PS3 and LOVE it. I have had no problems with it, my friends who own them haven't had problems with them. It is true that the game library isn't really that great which is why I only own maybe 8-9 games. I don't need 200 games that I am only going to play a few times. Just a few that I will really enjoy (CoD4, Army of 2, Orange Box, Fight Night 3, NCCA Football 08, Tiger Woods 08, Unreal Tournament, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2). But, gaming was not the only reason I bought it. I personally hate the 360 but I am not going sit here and tell you that it sucks, and that you should not own one. I will say that one thing that deterred me away from it is that my best friend has gone through 3 of them in less than a year, and hasn't had a problem with his PS3, but that could very well be a coincidence. The main reason I bought a PS3 is because it has a better "max out" point than the 360. HD-DVD is dead so that is a moot point with 360, and blu-ray is awesome. I have 40+ Blu-Ray Movies and they are all amazing... I can easily tell the difference between that, and my DirecTV HD-DVR. If you do not own a TV with at least 720P no HD format will make your picture that much better whether it be cable, 360, or PS3. Also they have a 100gig Blu-Ray disc that is coming out... I don't understand how that cannot make a picture better... more space available means more detail right? Even now with the 50gig disc I can tell a difference.
To make a long argument shorter all the bitching y'all are doing trying to prove one system over another is stupid. It all comes down to personal preference whether that may be game library, bonus material, movie playing capability, controllers, wireless, price, etc.... Just so happens my choice was a PS3 and I am more than happy with that. If your choice was a 360 then good for you... but all the bitching back and forth is getting childish and boring.
