I have a new server set up for OFPR Mini Games!!!Teeworlds
If you don't know what this is, check it out at teeworlds.com. It's pretty great IMO. Server is now set up and you can find it on the public server list by searching for the "OFPR" filter. Server holds 16 players. Don't forget to set up your player there, including the clan tag (there's a field for it). If you want to try a different map or a custom map (there are over 400 custom maps available), let me know and I can make it happen. Tetron4 (AKA Tetron2000)
This game is badass. It's by far the best Tetris game created. Unfortunately, the developers gave up on it earlier this year and the tetron2000.com site went down. They used to have global tournaments, global high scores, competition ladders, etc. It was the
platform for "competitive" Tetris gameplay. Any truly good Tetris player played Tetron2000. I decided to set up a server since a bunch of my friends and nillzaaah play it on and off and no internet servers are left.
Once you join the server, you'll be able to create a game, and others will be able to join your game. Up to 7 players can play, and it's a versus-type gameplay where the better you do, the more your opponents get penalized. In order to find the server, you'll want to filter using the following IP: XR.LIKES-PIE.COM:7790FTP Server:
Since you will have a very hard time finding the installer for Tetron4, and since some of you are too lazy to find the installer for Teeworlds, I set up an FTP server so you can download them. To save my bandwidth, I'd prefer if you downloaded teeworlds from their website, but I put it in there just in case. Downloads are capped at around 70KB/secFTP Server Address
: ftp://xr.likes-pie.comFTP Server Username
: ofprFTP Server Password
It is highly encouraged that you join Ventrilo while playing. You'll want to know how I kick your asses so badly in Tetron4.
If you have any other mini games you'd like me to host, let me know. The server isn't fast by any means, but games like this require little processing power and internet speed. The "server" is a 1.6GHz Pentium M with 1.5GB of RAM (A DV1000 laptop). Feel free to use this thread to let me know if something isn't working, or if something needs to be updated, or to talk about getting people together for a gaming session. Apparently, nillzaaah was playing teeworlds earlier and she had a random guy join and add the server to his favorites, so it's pretty likely that more people will play than just us.
If you are going to download/play these games we suggest you add them to your steam library so other members can see that you are playing. Instructions below:
1. Open steam
2. Click on "library" at the top
3. Click on "+ Add a game" at the bottom left corner
4. Click on "Add a non steam game..."
