How are you guys doing so far? I went 15/16 yesterday :/
It's a very cool concept and starts out pretty well but it's very overwritten and significantly overstays its welcome. Looking forward to seeing what the movie does with it though, as it will necessarily have to reign things in and likely limit itself to two hours. Also love the actor they cast as the lead.

Master of None - excellent comedy on Netflix from the mind of Aziz Ansari. Very funny, and also touches on a lot of themes like millennials and modern racism. The opening to episode 2 is one of my favorite things on TV.
Apex is on my netflix list (along with 200 other things) it seems interesting.
Whiplash - brilliant movie, made me feel very tense watching the scenes between JK Simmons and Miles Teller. And the drumming is excellent.
I really disliked Luke Cage, but maybe I just don't get it because I'm not black enough. Not sure.
Jack Reacher 2: terrible, makes me appreciate what the first Jack Reacher did so much more.
The Accountant: terrible, but somewhat fun. Should have embraced its inherent silliness and been a full-out B-movie.
Blair Witch: pretty generic modern horror film, still scared me (im a pussy).
The Girl on the Train: paint-by-numbers thriller, much worse than Gone Girl which it was clearly trying to mimic in tone/marketing.
Hell or High Water: slow but effective western heist thriller, good performances all around, mixture of authentically funny moments with uncomfortable life-in-the-south-usa moments punctuated by gunfights
I saw Suicide Squad the other night. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. They some how managed to make some of the most fun trailers I've ever seen (specifically the bohemian rhapsody trailer) and then the movie has none of the same spirit. It's dour, misogynistic, incoherent, poorly-acted, convoluted, and even the jokes fall flat on their face. This movie actually made me appreciate Batman v Superman more.
